What is an escape room?
An escape room is an immersive experience that places your team in an intriguing situation.
You need to work together, solving riddles and accomplishing tasks to resolve the situation and escape, or in other words find your way out of the room.
In most cases, you will have one hour in which to escape.
As a shared and mentally stimulating activity, Ocean State Escape is equally perfect for friend and family fun or professional team building events.
Will I actually be locked in a room?
No, doors will remain open as per RI state law.
The idea of being ‘locked in’ is part of the Ocean State Escape experience.
The door you use to enter the room will remain unlocked throughout the duration of your escape. You can use it to exit the room any time you want.
However the clock will continue to count down.
How much does it cost to play?
We have adopted a tiered pricing system in line with our new private bookings.
- $33 per adult
- $28 per adult if booking 4 or more tickets
- $20 for children (under 13)
- Discount for veterans and seniors – Please call for more details
Will I be in a room with people I don’t know?
Here at Ocean State Escape, we have moved to completely private bookings.
Once you have booked a room for a specific time slot, no one else will be able to book that same time.
Please contact Ocean State Escape directly if you would like to add to or make changes to your booking.

At Ocean State Escape you will lead your team on an adventure. Your group will have to work together to solve riddles, crack puzzles and complete tasks to find your way out within 60 minutes. Original puzzles, unique storylines, theater grade production and high degree of immersion make Ocean State Escape an unforgettable experience.
Are there cameras inside the Escape Room?
Yes.
We track your progress via the cameras so that we can give you hints as soon as you ask for them.
Am I permitted to bring my own camera to Ocean State Escape? Can I take pictures?
While you are free to take your cell phone/camera inside our rooms, we ask you to not take pictures of our escape rooms.
What should I bring with me?

Everything else you need to complete your escape mission is available within the room here at Ocean State Escape.
What time should I arrive?
Before your escape begins, we will need to explain the “dos and don’ts” of Ocean State Escape rooms and brief you on your escape mission.
As you can no doubt understand, all this will take time.
So we advise that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booked slot.
If you arrive late, you may not be allowed to enter your escape room.
How old must I be to play?
The escape rooms at Ocean State Escape are open to adults of all ages!
Players under 16 must have at least one adult accompanying them.
Our recommended minimum age to play is 7+ years old.
Finally, infants and toddlers are not allowed inside the rooms.
